WSX Shuts Down 2026 Season Amid Ongoing Ownership Talks

Amid continued rumors of another possible sale of the FIM World Supercross Championship, SX Global has officially announced that the 2026 WSX season is ending immediately.

Round 1 — held in August and originally planned as the opener of a six‑round world championship — will now stand as the only WSX event of the year. With the series’ future uncertain, no additional rounds will take place.

SX Global says it is still in advanced discussions with potential investors and that the decision to halt the season was made while those talks continue. The group emphasized that it still believes in the long‑term potential of the championship and hopes current negotiations will lead to a stable path forward.

The organization thanked riders, teams, partners, venues, staff, and fans for their support throughout the abbreviated 2026 season and noted that more information about the future of WSX will be released when available.
